We will organize free and paid excursions during the week. If you’d like to join us on any of the paid excursions, you’ll be able to book them from next week on our website.
Sunset cruise (free): There is no event organized by us without a boat trip, so we decided to invite all of you for a 3-hour sunset cruise with live music and a welcome drink. This is going to be fun!
Jeep safari (paid): On this full-day, private, personalized tour, we'll hop on jeeps to discover the Akamas Peninsula. Places we'll visit include sea caves, a shipwreck, the Akamas nature reserve, the Avakas gorge, Lara bay and Baths of Aphrodite. If the weather is nice, we'll make sure to add some beach-time as well:)You can buy your ticket to this excursion here for €55.
Brunch & wine tour (paid): Treat yourself to a fantastic food and drink experience starting with a brunch then moving on to a tasting menu of 6 different wines from an award-winning winery. Afterwards you can join a tour in the winery and learn more about the magic of wine-making.You can buy your ticket to this excursion here for €45.
Here you'll find a few suggestions on things to see or do around Paphos that you can self-organize.
Diving: With water temperatures being still around 24°C in October, Cyprus makes a great diving spot - not to mention the many ancient and modern wrecks, artifacts and settlements to explore off the shores. There is already a big interest from participants for both discovery and certified dives. If you too want to join the adventure, check out Cydive’s offer.
Their discovery dive for beginners cost €68/person and takes about 3-4 hours including a pool session and an open water dive in groups of 4. Their limit is 12 divers per program.
For certified divers they offer an escorted 2-tank boat dive to two great local dive sites for €95/person in groups of 6. The duration of this program is 5 hours and the limit is 24 divers, however for comfort reasons they recommend a maximum of 12-15 participants.
Both programs start at 08:30 and if you go there and sign up as a group, you’ll get a 10% discount.
Quad tour: A great way to discover the surroundings of Paphos is to rent a quad and follow off-road tracks to coastal sites, Unesco Heritage sites and authentic Cypriot villages. There are many tour operators to choose from in Paphos.
Trip to the Blue Lagoon: The Blue Lagoon is awaiting you with crystal clear, turquoise water and white sandy seabed in the Akamas National Park. Due to the buzzing sea-life and great visibility, snorkeling above the reef is a must! To get there, you can either take public transport to Baths of Aphrodite, from where a shuttle service operates (the road there is unpaved and not suitable for regular cars), or you can take a boat trip from Paphos.
More activities: If you’re keen to see/do more, check out this article with the 28 best things to do in and around Paphos.
Rental cars & Scooters
If you’re staying longer in Cyprus, it might be a good idea to rent a car. Paphos is well served by rental agencies, both local and international ones. They offer a range of vehicles in addition to cars – scooters, motorcycles, quad bikes and buggies. Note that in Cyprus you’ll need to drive on the left-hand side of the road, so consider if you’re comfortable with that before renting any vehicle. To rent a car we recommend Auto Europe.
Parking
If you rent a car for your stay, there is a big free parking place: Kato Paphos Archaeological Park Visitor's Parking Lot - https://goo.gl/maps/ocA1MPHexPjn22gy8.
