After my studies at the Ruhrakademie Schwerte, which I graduated with a diploma, I started working in the field of advertising film and music videos and found the production company Format Fröhlich Filmproduktion based in Dortmund in 2016. With my experience as an independent filmmaker and photographer as well as through the professional cooperation with other creatives, my previous projects for various clients, agencies, production companies and artists became a complete success for both sides.

Since 2015, I have also been teaching as a lead lecturer at the Akademie Deutsche POP in Bochum in the courses camera assistant, cameraman, film editor and photography. Here I pass on my artistic and technical knowledge directly from practice to the students. Since the introduction of the bachelor’s degree program in October 2021, I have also been responsible as a course and module leader.

As a director and cameraman, I have been involved in numerous internationally awarded short film projects, advertising films and music videos in the past. Our latest short film production “You are mine” was even in the selection for the Shortfilm-Oscar 2023 and was funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. Here I was involved as a producer and DoP.
