Cameron Botes – The Nomad’s Guide to Taxes: Be Free to Create Again
Taxes can get complicated quickly, but they don’t have to be overwhelming.
In this session, Cameron Botes will cut through the complexity and explain how nationality and residency shape the taxes nomads pay – highlighting why not being American can sometimes be an advantage. He will share the smartest ways to structure a business as a digital nomad, whether you’re a U.S. citizen or from another country, and why great bookkeeping is the foundation of every strong tax strategy.
Participants will also discover simple, actionable tax-saving moves that reduce stress, save money, and create more peace of mind. Whether American or not, attendees will leave with a clear roadmap to stop overpaying and start keeping more of what they earn—without the usual tax-time headache.

Cameron Botes is a former professional soccer player with an MBA in Finance & Accounting who now runs a tax and accounting firm dedicated to helping digital nomads and business owners around the world win at the tax game and be free to create again. After playing professionally in over five countries across four continents, he had to quickly master both U.S. and international tax systems while managing income across borders. That experience led him to invest tens of thousands of dollars into learning the best tax and accounting strategies – not just to save money for himself, but ultimately to help others do the same.
While still playing, Cameron founded BizBud with the mission of helping entrepreneurs reduce their taxes and focus on what they love. Six years later, BizBud has grown into an 8-person team of CPAs and tax advisors serving over 300 clients worldwide.
Today, Cameron is passionate about removing the stress from taxes while giving people back their time, money, and peace of mind so they can keep creating and chasing their dreams.
