These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nomadbase mobile applications for iOS and Android, the website at nomadbase.com, and our event services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by DN Ventures, Dios 29, Teresfanou, 7562, Cyprus ("Nomadbase," "we," "us").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. The Service

Nomadbase is a community platform for digital nomads. Through the Service, you can:

  • discover and book retreats, coliving stays, and coworking weeks;
  • view event programs, speakers, and side meetups;
  • connect with fellow event participants and the broader nomad community;
  • create and share posts, stories, travel plans, and direct messages.

Some features (e.g. paid bookings) require a separate transaction. Specific event terms (cancellation, refund, schedule) are shown on each event page and accepted at checkout.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
  • You may not impersonate others, share your account, or create accounts using automated means.
  • Notify us immediately at hello@nomadbase.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Bookings, Payments & Refunds

  • Bookings for physical events are processed by our payment partner Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and never reach our servers.
  • All prices are shown in the currency listed on the event page and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Each event has its own cancellation and refund policy, presented before checkout. The default is: cancellations 30+ days before the event are eligible for a full refund minus payment-processor fees; 14–30 days before, 50% refund; less than 14 days before, non-refundable. No-shows are not eligible for refunds. Specific events may differ — the event-specific policy prevails.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events for safety, force-majeure, or operational reasons. In that case, you receive a full refund or the option to attend an equivalent rescheduled event.

5. Nomadbase Membership

Nomadbase Membership ("Membership") is a paid yearly subscription that unlocks the year-round community, the mobile app, and the perks bundled with each launch period. The following terms apply specifically to Membership, in addition to the general terms above.

5.1 Subscription & price

  • The Nomad tier costs €149 per year (or the price displayed on the checkout page at the moment you join), billed in full at the start of each annual term.
  • Membership is billed and processed by Stripe. Card details go directly into Stripe and never reach our servers.
  • The price for an existing Membership is locked for the duration of your active subscription. We may change the price for new sign-ups at any time; you will be notified of any change to the renewal price at least 30 days before it takes effect.

5.2 Auto-renewal & cancellation

  • Membership renews automatically every year on the anniversary of your first payment, using the payment method on file, unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your Stripe billing portal (link sent with every invoice) or by writing to hello@nomadbase.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal — your Membership remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancelling does not remove any Tarifa 2027 ticket or member-only discount code that has already been issued to you as part of an active launch bundle (see 5.4 and 5.5).

5.3 Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the EU/EEA have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. By starting a Membership and confirming the checkbox at checkout, you expressly request that we begin providing the digital community access immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided (Art. 16(m) and the analogous provisions of national consumer law). If the service has only been partly used, the refund is reduced proportionally.

5.4 Tarifa 2027 ticket bundle

  • When you join Nomadbase Membership on or before 23 May 2026 23:59 UTC, we attach one (1) standard attendee ticket for Nomadbase Tarifa 2027 (20–27 May 2027, Tarifa, Spain) to your account at no additional cost.
  • The ticket is transferable to another active Nomadbase member at any time up to 14 days before the event start date. Transfers are completed in your account settings or by writing to hello@nomadbase.com; only one transfer per ticket is permitted, and the receiving member must hold an active Membership at the time of the transfer. The ticket may not be sold, resold, or transferred to a non-member.
  • The ticket does not include travel, accommodation, or additional optional workshops or excursions sold separately for that event.
  • If the event is cancelled or materially rescheduled by Nomadbase for reasons beyond a participant's control (force majeure, safety, operational), you may either attend the rescheduled event at the same conditions or receive the equivalent regular ticket value (currently €149) as account credit.
  • The bundled ticket remains valid even if you later cancel your Membership before the event takes place.
  • After 23 May 2026 the launch bundle expires. Membership is still required to access the dedicated member ticket tier on the Tarifa 2027 sales page; the price of that member tier at the time of booking applies.

5.5 Nomad Cruise bonus credit

  • After joining, members receive a personal credit code by e-mail worth €200. The credit may be applied to one (1) Nomad Cruise booking at nomadcruise.com within 12 months of joining Membership.
  • The credit is one-time use and not stackable — it cannot be combined with other promotional codes or split across multiple bookings. Any unused remainder expires with the redeeming booking.
  • If the redeeming booking is cancelled or refunded by Nomad Cruise, the €200 credit is considered consumed and is not re-issued.
  • Unredeemed credits expire 12 months after Membership is first activated and are not refunded in cash or extended.
  • Nomad Cruise is operated by a separate company (Nomad Cruise GmbH). The credit is honoured by them — booking, cancellation, refund, and on-board terms are governed by the Nomad Cruise terms of service. Nomadbase is not a party to your cruise booking and cannot guarantee availability, itinerary, or pricing of any specific cruise.
  • The code is personal, non-transferable, and may be revoked if your Membership is cancelled or terminated for cause before redemption.

5.6 Refunds outside the withdrawal window

  • Membership fees are non-refundable once the 14-day withdrawal window (5.3) has expired or once you have confirmed immediate provision of the service.
  • Where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides a different outcome, those provisions prevail.
  • If Nomadbase materially fails to provide the Membership for a sustained period (e.g. the app and community become unavailable for more than 30 consecutive days), you are entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of the current term.

5.7 "Coming soon" features

Marketing materials may describe upcoming Membership features (e.g. travel plans, city chapters, listings with deals, jobs, member promotions). These descriptions reflect our intent at the time of publication and do not constitute a binding commitment to any specific feature, scope, or delivery date. The current Membership price covers the features that are live at the time of payment plus any future features we choose to include at no additional cost; the Membership price does not depend on any specific not-yet-shipped feature being delivered.

5.8 Member directory & messaging

  • Active members are listed in the in-app member directory and can be contacted by other members via direct message. You can hide your profile from the directory in your privacy settings.
  • Misuse of the directory or messaging system (spam, unsolicited commercial messages, harassment) is grounds for suspension or termination of Membership under section 9, without refund.

5.9 Termination by Nomadbase

In addition to the termination-for-cause provisions in section 9, Nomadbase reserves the right to terminate any Membership at its sole discretion, with or without stating a reason, by giving notice to the e-mail address on file. In the event of a termination without cause under this clause, we will refund the pro-rata portion of any pre-paid Membership fee for the unused remainder of the current annual term, and — if applicable — re-credit any unredeemed €200 cruise credit as cash refund. Bundled benefits already consumed (e.g. a Tarifa 2027 ticket already attached and confirmed) are not refunded. This right does not limit your statutory consumer-protection rights, which prevail wherever they grant more favourable treatment.

The general rules on User Content, Acceptable Use, Termination, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Governing Law and all other sections below apply to Membership without modification.

6. User Content & Community Rules

You retain ownership of content you create on Nomadbase (profile information, posts, photos, messages — "User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and adapt that content solely to operate the Service.

You agree not to post content that is:

  • illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that incites violence;
  • sexually explicit, or involving minors;
  • spam, scams, multi-level marketing, or undisclosed advertising;
  • infringing on intellectual-property or privacy rights of others;
  • impersonating another person or organization;
  • containing malware or links to malicious sites.

We may, at our discretion, remove User Content that violates these rules and suspend or terminate accounts of repeat offenders. You can report violations from any profile or post via the "Report" action in the app, or by writing to hello@nomadbase.com.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to that policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • access the Service via automated tools (bots, scrapers) other than the official mobile apps;
  • circumvent any security or rate-limiting mechanisms;
  • resell, redistribute, or sub-license the Service or its content;
  • interfere with the Service's availability or other users' experience;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time inside the app under You → Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where reasonable. We will retain transactional records (e.g. invoices) where required by law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Nomadbase, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (ii) EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g. liability for intent or gross negligence under EU consumer law).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nomadbase from any claim, damages, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (i) your User Content, (ii) your breach of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Apple App Store — Additional Terms

The following terms apply if you obtained the iOS app from the Apple App Store. Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Apple") are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to your use of the iOS app, and Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you.

  • These Terms are between you and Nomadbase only — Apple is not a party. Nomadbase, not Apple, is solely responsible for the iOS app and its content.
  • The license granted to you for the iOS app is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple's standard EULA applies.
  • Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services for the iOS app.
  • Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. In the event of any failure of the iOS app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the iOS app to you.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the iOS app, including (but not limited to) product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to applicable legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer-protection or similar legislation.
  • Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the iOS app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual-property rights.
  • You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

14. Google Play Store

If you obtained the Android app from the Google Play Store, your download and use are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms remain between you and Nomadbase; Google is not a party and assumes no responsibility for the app.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before they take effect, by e-mail or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Nicosia, Cyprus, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise — in which case those mandatory provisions prevail.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law (including the right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU, where applicable).
